Michael Kane, Trail Director of the 2008 CSM Trail, has given the following report:

"Thankfully there was a lot of snow early this season because the big rains that came recently did some damage to the trails - especially where the water was running and eroded the snow completely to the ground. But for about 95% of the trail the snow remains and actually because of the rain  and because the trail was packed by the CSM crew there is a good solid base of snow on this 95%. The crew will be back on the trail this week with the BR grooming machine to repair the rain damage. The forecast of cold temperatures and new snow will allow for the making of a very good ski trail for Marathon weekend."
