Risk and Personal Responsibility
The CSM, like any ski event, involves the possibility of injury. The wilderness nature of the CSM trail, the long distances involved and the ever-present risk of adverse weather conditions add to risk of injury and the difficulty of aiding injured skiers quickly. All participants in the CSM must realize that safety is their own responsibility. CSM Inc., its directors, employees and volunteers, can not be held responsible or liable for any injury or damages sustained by a participant, nor can the event's sponsors or landowners over whose property the trail crosses. The CSM reserves the right to change the trail for safety or weather considerations.
